September 10 Full Moon Breathwork
In ancient communities, people gathered in circle on the new and full moon, as a way of honoring the cycles of nature to which they knew they were intrinsically linked.
Nature is a reservoir of healing and renewal that never runs out. Our own bodies, too, are nature. In the same way that skin reforms around a cut, our innate intelligence inside knows how to cleanse the residue of stress, anxiety, and depression that so easily builds up in our system. When you are a person sensitive to the heartbreak of the world, having time and space to process what you are holding is vital.
But we can’t do it alone. We were never meant to.
This monthly moon circle is a recalibration. A space carved out in the hum of modern life to complete the stress cycle in our bodies and resource ourselves with helpful perspective and imagination. We use simple holistic practices that are neither esoteric nor mystical: breathwork, meditation, journaling, and communal sharing. An optional list of supplies is typically sent out before the circle for those who may enjoy incorporating candles, herbs, stones, and images in their practice space.
For September’s Full Harvest Moon in Pisces, we harness the information showing up in our dreams and feelings to prepare for a shift to slower days ahead.
